When considering a new vacuum, whether commercial or residential, there are a few basic types one can choose; Uprights, Canisters and Backpacks. Oreck has proven to be a leader in production of these machines for quite some time. In this article, we will take a look at some of the commercial upright models that Oreck currently offers. The below review includes only a couple of Oreck commercial vacuums.

There are four basic models to choose from when it comes to upright commercial vacuum cleaners by Oreck. These models include the U2000, XLPRO14T, Pro 12 Series and Premier Series. Let’s take a closer look at the two most basic models in this line; the U2000 and the XLPRO14T.

Oreck U2000 Series:

The Oreck U2000 is a well-built, durable product that is known for its widespread acceptance in the hotel industry. These machines weigh only 8 pounds, making them ideal when it comes to mobility in larger facilities. The handle on this machine extends completely horizontal, such that the machine lays flat. This configuration is ideal for the hotel housekeeper, as it enables them to reach under beds, desks and tables. The motor fan is constructed from a high strength material, allowing the machine to withstand punishment from sucking up coins, bottle caps and other sizeable objects. This makes for a tough vacuum that can really pull its own weight.

Oreck XLPRO14T:

This larger 1000 watt dual motor machine is somewhat of a jacked up version of the U2000. With a number of additional on-board features and attachments, this guy brings a little extra detail to the standard cleanup process. Also built for commercial use, the XLPRO14T is another long-lasting quality product from Oreck. In addition to all the abilities of the U2000, the XLPRO14T’s on board attachments allows for quick cleaning above, behind and around any obstacles one might encounter. With an easy-access brush and belt, maintenance on this model is a simple task, allowing it to remain on the frontlines for many years.

The Oreck uprights mentioned can be used in a variety of commercial, industrial and residential applications. Each of these Oreck vacuums uses standard Oreck parts and Oreck vacuum bags.
