CLEANING YOUR CAR USING YOUR VACUUM

Regular vacuuming and dusting your car’s interior is the best way to keep it looking good. The interior of your car takes a lot of abuse and gets repeated concentrated traffic in all types of weather. There is no special way to car vacuuming. You need a good vacuum with strong suction power, an extension hose and several attachments. I use my Electrolux. The most important attachments for this job are the crevice attachment and the dust brush attachment. Use the dust brush attachment to vacuum the console, dash board components, vinyl and vents. Push the front seats forward use the crevice tool to vacuum between the seats and carpeted area... Then push the front seats back and do the same.

Remove all the mats, shake and vacuum. You may want to use a shampooer to clean the mats. Some stains will be permanent. You may be able to make stains less noticeable. After the mats dry completely you may spray a fabric guard product. Empty ash trays; wipe down doors with a damp cloth. Use a glass cleaner to clean your interior glass, rearview mirror. Do not forget to do the trunk or rear cargo area. An air freshener is effective in eliminating minor odors.

Central Vacuum Cleaners

Central vacuum cleaners also referred to as a built in vacuum cleaners consist of a vacuum power unit which is typically installed in a utility room, garage, or closet; and a 30-35 foot hose which is plugged into a inlet valve which is in the wall or floor; you can then attach any vacuum cleaner attachment to the end of the hose, such as a power nozzle, floor brush, dusting tool, upholstery tool, and crevice tool. Central vacuum cleaners are more effective than traditional HEPA filters, if they are exhausted outdoors. Therefore there will be no emission emitted back into your indoor environment, leaving you a cleaner healthier home. The dirt travels through the wall and collects into a drum which is part of the power unit, and is typically empitied on a semi-annual basis.
