Electrolux Silverado Vacuum Cleaner

Although the vacuum of my childhood is now gone I am finding that many people still have this machine in working order. The Electrolux Silverado Vacuum was Electrolux's flagship model from 1982-1984 and for many is the vacuum of the past and present. Having worked at a vacuum shop who's top selling brand is Electrolux, I see why people are attached to their vacuum or the vacuum of their parents. The all metal canister was built to last. The stylish silver-gray with light gray trimmings was an easy sale for door to door salesmen of the day. My mother and father had purchased this vacuum along with a shampoo machine. It was bit heavier than today's plastic canister vacuum but narrower and easy to store. No damage could be done to it.
